From finding a wheelchair for a newly arrived Ukrainian refugee, to rehousing Afghans still living in dangerous temporary accommodation since last August, Action for Refugees in Lewisham – AFRIL – is doing incredible work on a shoestring. Its foodbank feeds 36 families, its weekend school teaches 80 children and its advice service gets busier by the day.
Our April meeting is an evening of readings to Celebrate Spring! and raise £150 for AFRIL.
