Thank you to everyone who attended the SELHuG AGM in July.
We had reports on the previous year’s activities and our connections with various local organisations and the Treasurer’s report was presented.
New Officers were elected and details of the new committee are here.
Denis and James, our outgoing Secretary and Chair, were thanked for their stalwart service in their roles. We will be celebrating Denis’s long tenure as Secretary in our October meeting.
There were questions about the Ugandan Schools Trust (to whom we regularly give a donation) and a request for more information following some alarming reports they had been targeted by robbers recently. We hope to give you more information at our September meeting.
There was useful discussion and feedback from members regarding their thoughts about the group and plans were shared about re-launching the website and expanding our reach on other social media.
