Our speaker is Dr Ruth Wareham, education campaign manager at Humanists UK. Ruth has worked as a teacher. She was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the Principles and Policies Project at the University of Warwick. Her doctoral thesis was on the moral permissibility of faith schools in liberal democracies. She is the co-author of How to Regulate Faith Schools.
In the talk Ruth will provide an outline of Humanist UK’s campaigning work on a variety of educational issues: faith schools, relationship and sex education, collective worship and religious education.
