Local humanists are raising £300 to plant a street tree on Earth Day, 22 April. We are responding to a call by the new Humanist Climate Action network to plant a humanist forest.
Together, South East London Humanist Celebrants and SELHuG members will see a 4 metre-tall crab apple tree planted outside Launcelot Primary school in Downham, with a label saying it was us.
We are doing this with the school and award-winning local charity Street Trees for Living which has a fantastic rate of tree survival – 95% in contrast with 70% in some boroughs.
You can donate – any amount – in your name or anonymously here
We are using Paypal Pool, which allows you to either use your Paypal account or enter as a guest and use a credit or debit card. Any money raised over the £300 will be donated to Street Trees for Living to plant more trees!
Thank you.
South East London Humanist Celebrants take ceremonies including Weddings, Funerals and Namings and are accredited by Humanists UK. Find out more at Humanist Ceremonies
