Crisis, Comfort, and Celebration: The future of community services for the non-religious
Many people will have attended a humanist wedding or funeral, but may not know that humanists provide a range of other community services, for instance providing pastoral care in hospitals and prisons, supporting those on a personal journey from ‘faith-to-faithless’, and helping schools to deliver inclusive religious and ethical education.
Teddy Prout, Humanists UK’s Director of Community Services, will talk about how these services are developing and where they are heading.
Before joining Humanists UK, Teddy was a senior leader in education, working in a large academy in West London, and came to Humanists UK from Mencap where he led national projects for children and families.
