New Cross December meeting: Mythmas celebration

When: Thursday 7 December 2017, 7.30pm
Where: New Cross (map)

Mythmas Party

Please join us for an evening of food and drink, singing and games, and the book auction where we are practically giving books away!

This year we have:

  • SINGING with a LYRICS COMPETITION – we need non-religious lyrics for traditional Christmas carols. Please choose one of your favourites like “We Three Kings” or “Silent Night” and write your own words – could be serious or satirical. We will sing the entries and there’s a prize for the best one!
  • CHARADES WITH A DIFFERENCE – don’t worry, we play it in two big teams so those of us who are a bit rubbish at games won’t be on our own!
  • COLLECTION FOR REFUGEES – Every year we collect basic foods – tins, oil, pasta and rice, coffee and tea etc, in small/medium packets please for easier distribution, for AFRIL, Action for Refugees in Lewisham. Please bring what you can.
  • BOOK AUCTION – an opportunity to recycle books you’ve read and put the odd £1 or so into SELHuG funds by buying some you haven’t.
  • FOOD & DRINK – provided by ourselves pot luck style.

Checklist – please bring:

  • basic foods for AFRIL collection
  • books for the auction
  • food and/or drink for the party.
