When: Thursday 6th December 2018, 7.30pm
Where: New Cross (map)
SELHuG Mythmas Party
Please join us for an evening of food, drink, singing and the book auction where we are practically giving books away!
This year we have:
ATHEIST CAROL COMPETITION WITH PHIL WALDER – after the success of last year’s irreverent singalong accompanied by the multi-talented Phil Walder, we are looking again for non-religious lyrics to traditional Christmas carol tunes. Choose one of your favourites like “We Three Kings” or “Silent Night” and write your own words – could be serious or satirical. We will sing the entries and there’s a prize for the best one!
COLLECTION FOR REFUGEES – Every year we collect basic foods – tins, oil, pasta and rice, coffee and tea etc, in small/medium packets for easier distribution, for AFRIL, Action for Refugees in Lewisham. Please bring what you can. You can find more about AFRIL here.
BOOK AUCTION – an opportunity to recycle books you’ve read and put the odd £1 or so into SELHuG funds by buying some you haven’t
FOOD & DRINK – provided by ourselves pot luck style.
Checklist – please bring:
basic foods for AFRIL collection
books for the auction
food and/or drink for the party
