On the 22nd December a group of us gathered at the Catford Broadway Theatre to enjoy the pre-Christmas treat of a visit to the Panto. There’s nothing quite like returning you to a state of child-like joy and we all enthusiastically joined in with chanting back, singing along and energetically booing the baddie.
Many of us were thrilled that Panto is back in Catford and Jack and the Beanstalk delivered the goods. We had all the usual elements of a traditional panto, plus an infusion of influence from cultures reflecting the diversity of the Borough of Lewisham. A fun evening out.
Afterwards some of us gathered in the local Catford Constitutional Club for a drink, some food and to share our thoughts on the show.
It’s Sleeping Beauty next year and we’ve already decided to return….why not join us?
