On Saturday 13th April a small group of us meet at Halcyon Books near Hither Green, to enjoy a browse in the bookshop and sit down for a chat and a hot drink together.
There is a nice vibe in the shop; with several people nosing among the books and quietly chatting at the tables at the front. After making some book choices, we ordered drinks and enjoyed some wide ranging conversation touching on families, feminism, evolution and (as always nowadays) politics…
As it had started raining, we decided to give up on the original plan of having a wander around the local Manor House Gardens afterwards. However we all had a good time despite this and, for those that didn’t know the bookshop already, it was great to discover this local treasure.
