Despite having some wonderful online meetings, we have very much missed seeing people in the flesh. Please come along and join us for a picnic later this Summer, where we will be able to enjoy each other’s company in a safe, distanced and comfortable way.

Travel:
Car: there is car parking inside the park. Please see map here for exact location.
Bus: nearest bus stop to the main entrance is stop T served by buses 53 and 386 and stop S served by bus 53. Greenwich itself is about 10-15 minutes walk the other side of the park and is served by many different bus routes.
Train: nearest station is Blackheath is about a 5-10 minute walk on that side of the park. Tony has offered to ferry people in his car, so please let us know on selhuginfo@gmail.com if you have limited mobility and need some assistance to get between the station and the park. His mobile number is also above. Greenwich DLR and mainline, as well as Maze Hill stations are all a short walk (probably about 15 minutes) the other side of the park and we might be able to help with ferrying people from that side as well.
In the case of inclement weather, we will retreat to one of the cafes in the park or Observatory.
Please do make your own decision about whether you are comfortable with doing this, as we will of course be together inside rather than outside.
Toilets: in addition to the cafe toilets, there are also public toilets just inside the main entrance.
