Humanists believe that we should celebrate the important events in our lives like weddings and the arrival of a baby. We also need to commemorate people that we have loved when they die. For those of us with no religion, we think that it is important to mark these special occasions with warmth and affection, using words and music that are personal and appropriate to the lives and the people involved.
Some of our South East London members are accredited British Humanist Association celebrants and they conduct ceremonies for fellow members as well as the wider public. If you would like to find out more about a possible humanist ceremony, any one of our Celebrants below would be happy to talk to you.
