Our Summer picnic last year was a great success so we decided to make it an annual event. The weather was certainly kinder to us this year with blazing sunshine throughout the day. We managed to get the same spot as last year, under the protecting branches of a large tree, so those of us who wanted could sit in shade.
We had a great turn out and it was delightful to see not only regulars but plenty of new faces, some new members and some fellow Humanists from the Central London and East London groups. We are trying to encourage more participation across the London groups and it was wonderful to see this in action. There was plenty of food and drink shared (thank you to everyone who brought along items to share), lots of interesting conversations and connections made. The perfect picnic – here’s to next year!
