Our speaker is Roger Manser who is currently retired. He previously worked as an editor/journalist in commodities and in particular the world steel industry. He is a member of SE London Global Justice Now and the Green Party.
In his talk Roger will define green growth and say why he believes, at a general level, it is difficult if not impossible to de-link GDP-based economic growth from rising climate change and other form of environmental harm. The evidence also suggests this. But he will contrast these points with some small examples from the least developed countries (such as Malawi which he knows) of growth improving the environment.
