This post is to give you advance notice of a couple of points regarding the forthcoming AGM in July.
Firstly, if you wish to stand as an officer or committee member, please can you let us know by 16th June. We would appreciate a couple of short sentences explaining why you want to stand, what you have to offer, etc. This is so we can send this information out at the beginning of July, so that members can get to know who their potential committee are. Only paid up members of SELHuG will have voting rights at the AGM.
Secondly, our constitution needs a small overhaul. Although we expect these will only be minor changes, we want to be transparent and so a draft of this will be available from 16th June and we will discuss and approve the updated constitution as an item at the AGM. Please email us if you wish to see a copy.
And, last but not least, we will certainly intend to get through business quickly and make a visit to the local pub for a sociable drink and chat for more of the evening, so please don’t be put off coming if you are expecting only a dull meeting!
