Lewisham and Greenwich CND meet every year to commemorate the destruction of the city of Hiroshima by a single atomic bomb in 1945.
We have been invited to join them for this annual event. There will be a picnic in the grounds of Charlton House garden and commemorations in the peace garden.
The picnic starts at 6.30pm. Please bring food and drink to share.
There will be a minute’s silence in the Peace Garden at 7.30pm, followed by poetry and music from local musicians.
