We had two interesting events in May related to Dying Matters Awareness Week.
Firstly, we held a Death Cafe in Dulwich. There has been a great write up of the event here. Do click the link and read up about the event and a short interview with committee members Trevor and Hester.
Then, at our usual monthly meeting, we discussed ‘Why Fear Death?’. We held a discussion on all matters relating to the end of life and dying, punctuated by readings by celebrants present.
We particularly welcomed the contributions made by visitor Ruth Sheridan, who is Director of Supportive Care at St Christopher’s Hospice in Sydenham, who shared thoughts about her work.
